The Joy of Meditation
Meditation is often thought of as difficult, or as a practice for monks or spiritual people in general. We are here to debunk these myths and show you that meditation is simple and anyone can be practice it. Meditation has tremendous benefits in ways that are not fully appreciated until you introduce it into your life, and we hope this class will do just that.
Meditation is a joyful experience, and this is why we call this class the Joy of Meditation. Led by an experienced meditator and teacher, this class will guide you inward and provide ways to develop your own practice. No experience is necessary to join, and those who have been meditating for some time will also find this class enlightening, supportive, and beneficial.
What to expect:
The first part of the class will be guided by the teacher, with time for questions as well. During the second part of the class, you will have the opportunity to sit with the group, sometimes in silence and sometimes with gentle music or mantra in the background. We provide chairs, cushions, mats, blankets, and bolsters. For your comfort, please wear loose clothing.
